‘A Stitch in Time Saves….’ Lecture by Sue Harmon, AQS Certified Quilted Textile Appraiser

“A Stitch in Time Saves…” You have inherited a quilt you never knew existed but it has a few stains. You’ve got a top and don’t know if you should finish it or not. Should I just make Teddy Bears with these quilts I’ve been saving? Sue will share ideas on what to do to save the integrity of your quilt. She will present a trunk show and you may bring one antique quilt to share.

A limited number of spots are open for you to get a quilt appraised. A 20-minute appraisal is $60 and you will receive a written appraisal, a document that includes the name of the quilt, quilt maker (if known), date or circa, size, fabrics, batting, description, workmanship, condition and value. You will also receive information on caring for your quilts.
