Featherweight Club 2019

Third Wednesday of the month, starting January 16, 2019   10 am – 4 pm

Let’s get together, yea! yea! yea! We can have a sewing time! We have a day set aside just for sewing using your Featherweight! The third Wednesday of every month you are invited to bring your machine and join us for a day of fun and fellowship at Quilt Haven on Main.  Bring your own lunch.

No charge for sewing but please call 320-587-8341 and reserve your space.

Miniature Club

Second Thursday of the month,  1:30 – 3 pm
This club has been meeting for awhile, but we thought we’d let newcomers know about it too. We get together to work on our mini projects, share tips and techniques, show and tell, with the best part being just enjoying each other’s company.

Show and Share 5th Saturday

Saturday, March 30, June 29, August 31, November 30 10:30 am – ? 
 

Show and Tell – by people who come with their finished project(s). Every show and tell item will enter your name into a drawing for a prize, compliments of Quilt Haven on Main.  Limit of 5 items per person please.

Share – Quilt Haven on Main will share new fabrics, tools, notions and patterns that have come into the store. Some Saturdays will have a demonstration of a new tool.

Special In-Store Sale – On this day only, coupons will be given to those who come to Show and Share.  It could be a %-off of bolt fabric, a discount on notions or patterns or whatever – you never know until you Show up and Share!

Special Presenters – a mystery personality will give a special presentation on a topic of interest to quilters. This person might be a designer, an artist, or a person with a special talent to share.

Fee: $5 at the door (just show up, no need to register)
Level: Everyone!

Fabric Collage Class

Another class that demanded a repeat performance! Join Lori for a fun-filled two-day class and learn Laura Heine’s technique for fabric collage! Lori will guide you through the collage process, but warning, you just may become hooked! Let your imagination run wild! You will learn about color and value and different fabric selection to create your own one-of-a-kind (and perhaps personalized) collage.
One of the above 4 Laura Heine patterns from Quilt Haven on Main is needed for the class.

Deer Camp Open Sewing

Are your men away for the weekend hunting? Join us for a special Deer Camp Open Sewing event! Two days, Friday and Saturday, November 8&9. The $12 fee gets you a sewing spot for two days and dinner Friday night! All other meals are on your own. Bring an optional snack to share.

Martha’s Monkeys Beginner’s Class

This class for the beginner and quilter ‘wanna-be’ will cover every step of making a quilt including cutting, making strip sets, half-square triangles and two ways to make flying geese. And it’s all easier than you think. This class is aimed at the beginning quilter but if you’ve taken a different beginning quilting class, you could still learn a lot from making this quilt. No more fear of triangles! You will finish the quilt top and binding will also be taught. Total of 8 two-hour sessions.

White Bear Lake Quilt Show

Save the date! Quilt show in White Bear Lake  Friday and Saturday October 18-19. We’ll be vending in this new venue – can’t wait!

Make a Cuddle Strip Quilt

Join Bonny for an afternoon workshop that shows how easy it is to make Cuddle strip quilts. Learn the techniques and get the tools that will make for a fun and easy project.

Come celebrate 30 years of quilting arts in the St. Cloud area with us! We’ll be vending again at the ‘Pins to Pearls’ show at St. Ben’s, so stop by, say ‘hi’ and see some amazing quilts in the show!

Barn Quilt Painting Class

Back by popular demand! Cyndi will guide you through the process of barn quilt painting from beginning to completion. Choose a quilt pattern from several dozen offered or bring your own (instructor will evaluate difficulty level). You will learn measuring, layout, taping and painting and you’ll leave with your own masterpiece ready for hanging indoors or out. Cyndi makes it easy for you. You’ll be amazed at the professional results! Size:  2′ x 2′.
Class size is limited to 14 participants.
